Ruhunu Tissamaharama Ancient Temple has been the center of attraction of Buddhist and a most respected place of worship for the last 15 Centuries. The reason for this Ancient Temple to become prominent has been due to having the relics of Lord Buddha. Also this temple premises has been visited by Lord Buddha during his 3rd visit to our Island. For many centuries the annual religious procession (Perehera) has been conducted successfully with full devotion to Lord Buddha. We the CPC have been solicit our assistance to make this grand annual event a success by way of a substantial contribution every year. We have been conducting number of campaign with findings to preserve historical values, heritages nearby area where combination of historical, symbolic, spiritual, aesthetic and social values.
